Construction is in full swing on the Links Eco Leisure Agriculture Park, a major project in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu, with a total investment of 670 million yuan ($91.94 million). The park was developed by Jiangsu Yangtong Development and Investment and spans 173.3 hectares.

According to Zhang Wangkuan, general manager of the company, the project aims to become a comprehensive destination blending agricultural sightseeing, family-friendly recreation, and educational experiences. Planned attractions include an activity lawn, vegetable gardens, a children's playground, a creative farmland zone, a petting zoo, a planting garden, and a stargazing campsite.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with a grand opening scheduled for the May Day holiday in 2026.

Zhang highlighted several distinctive features of the park.

First, the integration of geothermal energy with agriculture is a key innovation, enabling geothermal power generation, cooling, and heating. Second, after significant land improvement, the park has partnered with institutions such as Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences to research the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs—which are being grown on an area of nearly 40 hectares.

Third, the park will offer water sports and outdoor activities including water golf, kayaking, and cycling around the lake to enhance the visitor experience. Lastly, the project is exploring creative cultural tourism promotion by producing web-based films to boost regional visibility and attract wider attention.
