New landmark opens in Hai'an, boosting employment and economic growth

On Dec 25, Hai'an welcomed its newest urban landmark, Xirun City, with a grand opening ceremony. This multifunctional commercial hub promises to create nearly 3,000 jobs and generate over 600 million yuan ($82.2 million) in sales during its first year of operation.
The shopping center, which received a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan, spans 180,000 square meters and features over 200 renowned Chinese and international brands. The diverse offerings include fashion, trendy sports, entertainment, and popular dining options. Notably, 61 of these brands are making their debut in Hai'an, enriching the city's commercial landscape and enhancing the local quality of life.
Hai'an Party Secretary Tan Zhen expressed hope that Xirun City will leverage its brand advantage, implement more effective management, and establish itself as a top commercial district in the city. He called on relevant departments to proactively support the project, foster a favorable business environment, and organize themed cultural and consumption activities. These efforts aim to meet diverse consumer needs, stimulate commercial vitality, and unlock Hai'an's consumption potential.
