Haimen district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has in recent years been focusing on strengthening environmental protection along the Yangtze River.

Efforts include creating green spaces and waterfront areas centered around ecological greenery, water conservation, and riverside scenery.

Since 2018, local authorities have taken significant steps to close down chemical enterprises along the Yangtze River and have initiated a comprehensive program aimed at establishing an ecological landscape belt.

Leveraging its rich cultural heritage, Haimen has created captivating scenic routes like the Qinglong Port 1806 and Dongbuzhou scenic areas, while also organizing unique cultural tourism activities.

The Qinglong Port, since its inception in April, 2023, has welcomed over 300,000 visitors and hosted engaging events such as a camping festival. It also organized an eight-day kite festival that drew nearly 60,000 attendees, resulting in revenue surpassing 600,000 yuan ($82,803.97) during this year's Spring Festival.
