Xianghua village in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province has been listed as a provincial characteristic countryside area, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced on Dec 6.

Situated at the northwest end of Chongming Island and connected to Shanghai in the south, the village is well connected and home to strong industry.

It has formed a characteristic industry dominated by daylily, Zhongshan fir, and kiwi, as well as agritourism featuring agritainment and idyllic sightseeing.

In the future, the village plans to establish a complete daylily industrial chain that covers research and development, cultivation, deep processing, sales, and tourism.
