Activities enrich holiday life in Tongzhou
Key tourist attractions and cultural units in Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province, launched various activities to attract visitors during the past Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.
The Kaisha Island Camping Base introduced a series of innovative activities, while the flower town in the district held the Royal Circus performance. The efforts helped key tourist destinations in Tongzhou receive 323,000 visitors, a growth of 42 percent year-on-year.
In addition, the district organized over 100 cultural events during the holiday period, serving more than 200,000 attendees.
At the Tongzhou Cultural Center, a National Day exhibition showcased works by esteemed Chinese painters like Du Dakai and Li Baolin, with over 140 Chinese paintings attracting a multitude of art enthusiasts.
Tongzhou district library displayed 56 crafted paper-cut artworks depicting various ethnic cultures, capturing the unique allure of paper-cut art. A series of reading and educational activities also drew numerous families.
Over the eight-day holidays, the library received over 10,000 visitors, with more than 26,000 books borrowed or returned.
