Surface treatment center to bolster industrial green transformation in Hai'an
The surface treatment center in the Hai'an Electronic Information Industrial Park, East China's Jiangsu province, opened on June 13.
The center is one of the provincial "green island" projects that aim to advance the province's industrial green transformation. It can accommodate over 100 enterprises and will feature 340 production lines that adopt a unified planning, construction, and operation management model.
The annual treatment capacity is expected to reach 30 million square meters.
An electroplating workshop spanning 135,000 square meters with an annual treatment capacity of 18 million square meters has already been established at the center.
Local authorities believe that this facility will play a crucial role in promoting the transformation of the surface treatment industry from an extensive to an intensive model.
The county has completed five "green island" projects so far.
A "green island" project refers to a centralized hub or zone with environmentally-friendly public infrastructure, where multiple market entities can share resources for unified collection, centralized treatment, and stable emission compliance of pollutants.
