Tongzhou district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has strengthened its efforts to promote local tourism this year.

For example, the district held a promotional event for the local tourism industry in Shanghai in April.

During the event, local authorities introduced the key attractions, including Zhouji Menghuan Island and Zhouji Green Expo Garden, and launched new travel routes.

In addition, many tourism agencies from the cities in the Yangtze River Delta region signed cooperation agreements with key attractions and star hotels in Tongzhou to promote the development of the tourism industry in the region.

Apart from promotional events, the district has also launched many local activities, such as a camping festival and lawn concerts, to inject vitality into the tourism market.

Thanks to these efforts, the key attractions in Tongzhou welcomed about 386,200 tourists in the first quarter of this year.
