Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been making efforts to protect consumers' rights in recent years.

One of the efforts taken by local authorities is improving after-sales services, such as promoting the unconditional return policy.

In 2020, Guanglong shopping mall became the first offline business operator in the county to implement the unconditional return policy.

The process of returning products in this shopping mall is simple and fast, and the service attitude is good, said Qu Demei, a resident in the county.

To date, 622 brick-and-mortar stores in the county allow the unconditional return of products, according to official statistics.

As part of a provincial campaign to create a good consumption environment, the unconditional return policy has been widely promoted in offline shopping scenarios in Jiangsu over the past three years.

The policy has helped increase the satisfaction of consumers and strengthened the responsibility of business operators.
