Hai'an makes all-around progress in 2022
Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has made remarkable progress in industrial development, rural revitalization, transportation construction, and livelihood improvement in this year.
In November, Hai'an was ranked 17th in China's top 100 industrial counties list, up three places from last year.
As of November, Hai'an was home to 1,306 industrial enterprises above designated size and 330 enterprises with turnovers in excess of 100 million yuan ($14.41 million).

Innovative development is one of the drivers that have boosted the industrial development in Hai'an.
This year, Hai'an became the first county in Nantong to be included in the inaugural innovative counties list in China.
Three high-tech enterprises in the county have been given approval to establish technological projects that will be funded at provincial level.
Following the autumn harvest this year, Hai'an was ranked first in the province for the 16th consecutive time in terms of the yield of rice and wheat.
This year, 530,000 mu (35,333 hectares) of high-standard farmlands have been rebuilt and established in the county.
The county has also improved the service system to boost agricultural modernization.
To date, Hai'an has established 207 centers for agricultural affairs to help solve the technical problems faced by farmers and promote the utilization of agricultural machinery.

In October, a warehouse designated by Hai'an customs as a storage facility for imported meat products completed its first transaction of 25 metric tons of Spanish pettitoes.
The warehouse has been credited with boosting the cold chain industry in the county and advancing the integration of the cold chain industry in the Yangtze River Delta Region.
In addition, the operation of the Hai'an-ASEAN express has made the county an important railway hub in the Yangtze River Delta Region.
In the Jan-Oct period, a total of 22 trains with 1,224 wagons operated on this route.
To improve its living environment, the county had this year renovated 22 old residential communities.
In addition, 13 "15-minute circles" for healthcare insurance have been set up in the county to provide convenience to residents in terms of dealing with healthcare insurance issues.
