Renovation projects improves lives of Chongchuan residents
Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has to date renovated 112 old residential communities in the district, local media reported.
The newly established parking sheds, micro parks, and elevators in the old residential communities have improved the lives of residents of Chongchuan.
The Xuetianyuan residential community, which was built in the 1990s, was among those that were renovated this year.
Before the renovation, the residential community had a lack of parking and charging spots for electric motorcycles.
To solve these problems, Chongchuan authorities built parking sheds that were equipped with charging facilities to meet the needs of residents.
So far this year, the district authorities have renovated 50 residential communities and built 508 parking sheds for electric motorcycles.
Authorities have also built micro parks in old residential communities to provide a space for people to play and relax, as well as added elevators to old residential communities to make life more convenient for residents.
At the Hongyun City residential community, four elevators have been put into use and two are currently under construction.
This year, six of the 50 renovated old residential communities have added 15 elevators to their premises.
