Jiangsu Pengfei Group Co Ltd, based in Hai'an, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been tapping Southeast Asian markets this year, local media reported on Sept 1.

Founded in 2002, Pengfei is one of the leading rotary kiln and cement grinding facility manufacturers in China.

"We secured $12.9 million in contracts to build cement grinding stations in Burundi and Bangladesh this year," said Ben Daolin, executive director of Pengfei. "Nearly 80 percent and 50 percent of the cement grinding station projects in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have been completed."

According to Ben, the cement grinding station in Cote d'Ivoire was put into operation last year and can produce 1 million metric tons of cement per year.

Another cement production line in Kazakhstan was put into service in 2019 and has generated 2.6 million tons of cement to date.

In addition to cement-related projects, Pengfei has also secured a place in the nickel ore sectors as a number of nickel ore rotary kilns are operating in Indonesia and many more are under construction.

To date, Pengfei has established more than 100 cement production lines and its products have been exported to over 60 countries, including Vietnam, India, and Brazil.
