Rudong, a county in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, held the fifth Golden Bull Prize of Outstanding Enterprises and Entrepreneurs on Aug 28 to award enterprises and entrepreneurs that made contributions to the county's high-quality development.

Chen Huiyu, Party secretary of Rudong, said at the award ceremony that entrepreneurs are indispensable to Rudong's economic achievements and that he hopes that they will continue contributing to the county's economic and social development.

The prize this year included awards for continuous outstanding contributions, outstanding contributions, and listed enterprises.

Sixteen enterprises, including PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Co Ltd and ZTT Group, won the continuous outstanding contribution award with their tax payables exceeding 50 million yuan ($7.28 million) in 2021.

Rudong Fengli Machinery Factory Co Ltd and 10 other enterprises won the outstanding contribution award with their tax payables exceeding 30 million yuan ($7.28 million) last year.

Jiangsu Haili Wind Power Equipment Technology Co Ltd and Jiangsu Hanvo Safety Product Co Ltd, both of which were listed last year, won the listed enterprise award.

Fifty-two people were also awarded at the ceremony.

Founded in 2018, the Golden Bull Prize of Outstanding Enterprises and Entrepreneurs has given out 133 trophies over the years.

Rudong also experienced rapid economic development over the same period. It has jumped to 33rd place in economic competitiveness among Chinese counties and set several records in the amount of received liquefied natural gas.
