District looks out for deliverymen
The service alliance in Tangzha sub-district, Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province, provided 210 deliverymen with heatstroke prevention items on Aug 15.
The provision of these items was in line with the policy to improve the working conditions of local workers. The policy was introduced by Chongchuan on June 29.
Other entities in Chongchuan have also jumped in to help. For example, Nantong Mix City, a commercial complex located in Chongchuan district, has set up exclusive channels for deliverymen to help them deliver their parcels quicker.
Meanwhile, the Sixth People’s Hospital of Nantong has provided such workers with free health checks, medical consultations, and lectures about first-aid.
In addition, Chongchuan has established more than 180 service stations for deliverymen to rest, have meals, and charge their phones or vehicles. Training sessions have also been conducted in the district to help them improve their professional skills.
