Undergraduate startup competition held in Tongzhou
The Nantong preliminary round of the Chuangxiang Jiangsu undergraduate entrepreneurship competition was held at Jianghai Smart Park in Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone – situated in the Tongzhou district administered by Nantong city in China's East Jiangsu province – on July 27.
The overall contest consists of two parts – the startup model sector and startup project sector – and there are also two phases: city-level heats and the provincial finals.
A total of 10 undergraduate startup models and 10 startup projects participated in the municipal preliminary round, standing out from 55 projects from Nantong's regions.
After a tough-fought round, students Shen Jianxiang and Guo Ting qualified for the provincial finals with their startup models. Their respective projects were a new plant substrate, as well as a project for a platform for recycling, reproduction, testing and sales of auto parts.
"Getting through was a great start for us," said Wang Qiwei, in charge of the auto parts recycling platform project. "We'll keep working hard to get a top result in the finals."
