The science and technology association of Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, was recently endowed with an honorary title by the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology for its innovative development.

Twenty out of 96 similar county-level and district-level associations in the province won the title, among which two Nantong associations were honored.

The title is given out every year to recognize Jiangsu's county-level and district-level science and technology associations that have standardized management, a clear direction for future development, a strong innovative capacity, and significant past achievements.

The recognized associations will receive 80,000 yuan ($11,487) to support their further development.

Tongzhou district's science and technology association was also recognized by the China Association for Science and Technology on National Science Day in 2019. The association's achievements were placed in a national archive and promoted throughout the country.
