Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has been developing its service outsourcing industry in recent years.

The district is focusing on four major aspects of the service outsourcing industry, including industrial design, software, aircraft maintenance, and home textile design, with the help of the Nantong Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Jinsha sub-district, Konggang Industrial Park, and the Home Textiles Center.

The technology center in the Nantong Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone was officially recognized as a provincial demonstration zone for service outsourcing at the beginning of this year.

To date, around 150 service outsourcing enterprises have begun operating in the center. They are involved in information technology, business processes, knowledge processes, and contract research outsourcing.

Quickly-growing enterprises will receive 500,000 yuan ($70,994) to 750,000 yuan every year in financial support. A total of 1 million yuan per year in financial support is available for leading service outsourcing enterprises in the district.

Over the past five years, the total value of service outsourcing in Tongzhou district has increased 30-fold, reaching $150 million in 2018, a year-on-year increase of 67 percent.
