Tongzhou residents pay close attention to two sessions
What do Tongzhou residents think about this year’s two sessions?
Reporters of Tongzhou Daily recently interviewed some locals in the street and listened to their voices.
“What I am most concerned about is the health service policies and I hope all common people can afford medical services,” said Zhang Cai, a Nantong native, while watching the opening ceremony of the second session of the 13th National People's Congress on his mobile phone.
The government will increase the critical illness insurance premium and reduce the medical expense for patients suffering from financial difficulties this year, he said.
He told the reporters that he cares about the annual national two sessions and this year is no exception.
“I hope during this year’s two sessions, the government will prioritize property price and curb the excessive growth,” said Chen Peng, another Nantong native.
“I live in an old community, and we don’t have an elevator in the building,” said Lu Wei, a retired worker.
“I often find it difficult to climb stairs as I have become old, and I hope the government will launch measures to improve the living facilities in old areas,” he added.
In recent years, education and food safety have become hot topics during the national two sessions.
Zhou Yan also expressed her concern. “I care about whether the education quality for my child is ensured,” she said. Besides, she hopes the government will enhance food monitoring and detection.
