Nantong's Tongzhou district now has the largest number of standards working groups in the city since setting up the chamber vacuum packing machine standards working group.

The standards working group was established on Jan 11 in Jiangsu Tengtong Packing Machinery Co Ltd (JTPMCD), the sixth of its kind in Tongzhou district.

“The founding of the working group will help promote high-quality development of traditional manufacturing industry in our district,” said Chen Wei, deputy head of Tongzhou district.

Chen expressed his hope for enterprises to participate more on the standards formulation.

The working group was set up after a year of preparation. “We will take this opportunity to improve vacuum packing machinery standard system through innovation, and enhance communication and cooperation on standardized technology,” said Li Guohua, CEO of JTPMCD.

JTPMCD is one of the earliest manufacturers and sellers of vacuum package machine in China. The company has designed and made hundreds of vacuum packing machines, owning 12 patents for invention, 40 patents for utility models and more than 20 provincial high-tech products.

Tongzhou district has made great efforts on building standards for industries. A total of 39 enterprises have participated in formulating 136 national and industrial standards.
