Longliqi advances intelligent factory in Rudong
Chinese domestic cosmetics giant Longliqi Group has recently sped up the construction of its intelligent manufacturing plant in Bingcha town of Rudong county in East China's Jiangsu province.
The company invested nearly one billion yuan ($147.78 million) to build the intelligent factory as a complex integrating production, tourism, catering, healthcare and entertainment.
Once the factory is put into operation, it will produce 70,000 batches of high-end cosmetics annually, with a total output value of 800 million yuan.
As part of its tourism function, the company says the factory can also receive 100,000 visitors per year.
Zhai Zhouning, responsible for the intelligent manufacturing program explained that construction work is going smoothly as planned.
He said that the factory will start internal building work by the end of July this year.
Unlike traditional factories, Luo Hongli, head of Bingcha town, said that the new facility will function as an intelligent factory that integrates industrial tourism.
She stressed that the factory will help boost employment in the area and further improve the industrial structure of the town.
