Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, is building a new coastal resort town in the hope of capturing a slice of the lucrative tourism industry.

Charmtime Coast Town is designed to have comprehensive leisure and entertainment facilities, giving it the ability to attract different segments of the tourism market. 

The new town is set to be constructed at Jianghai Industrial Park, which was built by Jiangsu province in partnership with Shanghai. It will include four parks each with its own theme, a residential community, a top international-level hotel, and a traditional-style street. 

Once completed, the new resort town is expected to attract visitors from across the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as from further afield.
