Civilized tourism to improve China's image
A national campaign calling for civilized travel was launched in Qidong, East China's Jiangsu province, on August 4.
With the theme of "promoting civilized tourism to improve China's image”, it is one of this year’s key activities organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
About 100 tourist cities across the country carried out civilized tourism publicity and guidance activities based on their actual situation. Four representative cities of Jiangsu province, namely Wuxi, Zhenjiang, Zhangjiagang and Qidong, participated in the event.
During the campaign's launching ceremony, the organizer gave the flag to the civilized tourism volunteer teams and awarded them service station signs.
Volunteer representatives read the proposal of civilized tourism and green travel, which encourages tourists to love nature and cherish green mountains and green waters, and advocates rational planning, rational self-driving travel, and low carbon economy.
It also reminds tourists to respect people, obey customs regulations, and strive to be an "action school" for civilized tourism and green travel.
