During China's National Day holiday, "Kung Fashion" joined Chinese skincare brand Pechoin to present a pop-up event in the forecourt of Prince Kung's Palace Museum. Under the theme "Good Fortune at Hand, Take Blessings Home", the event combined booth displays, interactive experiences, and co-branded cultural products to bring the essence of traditional Chinese culture into contemporary life.

Known as the "Garden of Myriad Blessings", Prince Kung's Palace is celebrated for its "No 1 fu character under Heaven" calligraphy by Emperor Kangxi (r. 1662-1722) of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). As fu (蝠, bat) is the homophone of fu (福, blessing), bat motifs found throughout the palace's window lattices, painted decorations, and brick carvings express everlasting wishes for happiness and good fortune.

Drawing on this cultural heritage, the collaboration brought the palace’s bat motifs together with Pechoin's bird totem to create a design language symbolizing auspiciousness and well-being.
The pop-up space featured an elegant blend of dark green and gold. Its circular, pavilion-shaped booth, symbolizing completeness and fulfillment in traditional Chinese culture, was adorned with artistic bird installations and bat-patterned ornaments, creating an immersive setting for visitors.

Interactive activities provided visitors with opportunities to experience the co-branded products, collect commemorative stamps, and scan QR codes to purchase.

Through this partnership, Pechoin introduced two Kung Fashion edition products: Classic Cold Cream and Fragrant Hand Cream.
The cold cream, suitable for the whole body, retains Pechoin's iconic blue box and incorporates the traditional craft of skincare balm-making, while its packaging features the palace's bat motifs and Pechoin's bird totem.
The hand cream comes in two fragrances: a calming woody scent and a fresh floral scent. Each is paired with a wearable accessory featuring auspicious motifs, combining practicality with decorative elements inspired by traditional Chinese culture.

Prince Kung's Palace Museum will continue to explore cross-sector collaborations that bring cultural heritage beyond museum displays and into everyday settings, encouraging traditional cultural elements to inspire contemporary creativity and innovation.
