Prince Kung's Palace Museum recently announced its upcoming fashion show in Paris.
The 2023 Prince Kung's Palace Museum Fashion Show left a lasting impression, bringing the charm and elegance of traditional Chinese culture to Paris through Chinese aesthetics, seasonal customs, and masterful craftsmanship.
Building on that success, the 2024 Prince Kung's Palace Museum Fashion Show in Paris, as part of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism, will be held at the Salle Wagram in Paris on Sept 28 (local time). Led by renowned fashion designer Laurence Xu, the show will feature a fusion of traditional crafts — such as Miao embroidery, tin embroidery, and cloud brocade (yunjin) — with cultural elements from Prince Kung's Palace to demonstrate the integration of traditional Chinese culture with contemporary fashion design.
The past few years has witnessed Prince Kung's Palace Museum's persistent efforts in preserving tradition while embracing innovation. By integrating modern approaches, it has expanded its operations and explored new fields, advancing the preservation and evolution of Chinese cultural heritage to meet the public's growing desire for a richer cultural experience.
