A screen wall (ying bi) is a wall set inside or outside the main entrance of a building or courtyard, serving as a barrier. It is a highly decorative wall, consisting of three parts: the top, the body, and the base. Based on the materials used in construction, screen walls can be categorized into glazed, stone, brick, and wooden varieties.
