The Blossoms of Wisdom is a Chinese poetry-creation event and can be traced back to more than 100 years ago. It is held annually in early April, when the crabapple flowers blossom at Prince Kung’s Palace. After a decades-long hiatus, the event was revived in 2011 and has been celebrated consistently for the past ten years, leaving a profound and lasting imprint on society.
The exhibition displays documents and photos, as well as poems created by renowned poets from each of the previous gatherings. Through these exhibits, the origin, history and mission of the event are told. Meanwhile, the exhibition provides visitors a comprehensive understanding of the current state and evolution of Chinese poetry, to demonstrate the vitality of Chinese poetry and to ignite and nurture a renewed interest in reading and creating Chinese poetry.
