Shanghai Eyougene Biotechnology Development Co Ltd or Eyougene and Shanghai Lingang Fengxian Economic Development Co Ltd – one of the operators of a key sci-tech park in East China – signed an agreement on July 21 to construct a new medicine R&D facility there and a contract research organization service center, or CRO.

The facility will be built in the Lingang Life Science & Tech Park, located at the west gate of the Lin-gang Special Area, in East China's Shanghai city.

The biomedical firm also plans to build its headquarters in the park. It will introduce its independently developed advanced platforms and technologies there and boost the strategic development of the R&D and industrial bases in cities such as Xi'an in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province and in other regions.

It will aim to provide process research and development, required for the creation of new drugs and optimal solutions for customers all over the world.

As an enterprise with both R&D and innovation strength and CRO customization services, it is expected to play an important part in the industrial supply chain of the park.

The park expects to further meet the needs of its biomedical innovation enterprises through introducing innovations, building up specialist support teams and providing comprehensive resources to help boost their development.
