Entertainment and tourist sites in the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai city are gradually reopening their gates following a two-month closure due to the recent COVID-19 resurgence, signaling the area's business activities are steadily getting back on track.

The Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park reopened on June 12 after new epidemic controls and prevention measures were implemented.

All guests, regardless of age, are now required to present a green Shanghai health QR – or quick response code – and show proof that they have a negative result from a nucleic acid test taken within 72 hours before entering the resort.

Visitors are also required to scan the venue's QR code before entering the site. Temperature screenings and the wearing of masks are mandatory. In fact, sanitization and disinfections have been increased and strengthened throughout the park.

The park has also capped visitor numbers at 75 percent of its maximum capacity.
