Lin-gang tourism booms during Dragon Boat Festival holiday

The Lin-gang Special Area in Shanghai reportedly saw its tourism industry boom during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on June 12-14.

According to the Lin-gang Special Area Administration's department of business, culture, sports and tourism, it played host to 279,000 tourists during the holiday.

Key scenic areas – Haichang Ocean Park, the China Maritime Museum, Shanghai Flower Port and the Shanghai Academy Family - received a total of the 50,600 visitors, up 39.39 percent year-on-year, recovering to 76.44 percent of the pre-pandemic boom year of 2019.

Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park's activities, featuring traditional Dragon Boat Festival folk cultural events, also attracted many folks during the break.

The park upgraded its unmanned aerial vehicle light show and made large rice dumpling and dramatic dragon shapes in the night sky with the UAV formations. Click the video below to see the fantastic light show.
