The“Haiyan banquet”of the first Dianchi Lake special food competition was held in Haiyan village around Dianchi Lake.
The Haiyan banquet includes a total of 22 dishes and drinks, including appetizer plates, cold and hot dishes, and drinks. The appetizer plates are six savory dishes with unique Dianchi characteristics. The hot dishes include local dishes of Haiyan village, as well as cuisines from Kunming, Jinning, Kunyang and other places.
The competition opened on June 14, 2023 and slated to conclude on Feb 29. After the launch of the Haiyan banquet, the turnover of the merchants increased by nearly 80 per cent year-on-year.
The Haiyan banquet helps promote Kunming's flourish in culture, tourism and catering and attracts tourists to Yunnan.
