The Shanghai-Yunnan Lin'gang Kunming Science and Technology City recently opened in Kunming Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The administration committee of the zone has issued 10 measures as part of its industrial support policies to attract companies to settle down in the newly-established city. The highest reward under these measures reaches 60 million yuan($8.35 million).
Enterprises in the city are entitled to preferential policies at the provincial, municipal and district levels. Shanghai will also award fixed asset investment incentives of up to 3 million yuan to eligible companies.
Companies that settle in the city can also benefit from subsidies for rent, talent, and financing. In addition, the zone provides customized services and policy support for companies engaged in leading industry and technological innovation enterprises, as well as projects with large-scale investment and high economic returns.
In the near future, the zone plans to focus on investment in the digital technology sector and to establish a mechanism to provide life-cycle services for settling enterprises.
