Jacaranda trees, native to Brazil in South America, were not originally found in China. Kunming began introducing these trees in 1984, and their presence has grown ever since. The initial Jacaranda trees planted along Jiaochang Middle Road now extend over 2 kilometers. Additionally, hundreds of Jacaranda trees can be found along the Panlong River oil pipeline bridge section, Dianchi Road, Beijing Road, Denghua Street, and numerous other streets. From late April to May, the streets of Kunming are adorned with blossoming Jacaranda trees, their vibrant blue flowers evoking expansive oceans, making them a beloved attraction in the "Spring City."
