Some 50,000 irises have started to bloom in Xihua Park, Kunming, with blooms of various colors covering 3,000 square meters around the park’s lake.
The irises span more than 20 varieties and were introduced from Japan, Germany and Yunnan.
It is the largest area of irises in Kunming with the most variety.
Every April, the colorful sea of irises invigorates the unique landscape of the park, becoming a popular attraction of Kunming residents and tourists.
