With mild weather and diverse flora and fauna, Kunming -- also known as the "city of spring and flowers" -- attracts hordes of tourists year round.
According to Wang Xun, deputy mayor, the city received 104 million tourists and achieved tourism revenue amounting to 119 billion yuan in the first half of this year. Especially in June, Kunming welcomed 21.47 million tourists, 1.5 times more from the same period in 2019.

Kunming will introduce high-end brand hotels and develop characteristic homestays to help shape the city into a world-renowned leisure destination, Wang added. He extended invitations to companies to join hands with Kunming, achieve mutual benefit and create new glory for Kunming's tourism development.
