Kunming’s Anning targets 10% GDP growth in 2022

Anning county, Kunming, Yunnan province has set its gross domestic product (GDP) growth target at around 10 percent for 2022. It aims to lead in the city in investment attraction by creating a better business environment, boosting industries and facilitating project construction.

In 2021, Anning’s GDP stood at 16.13 billion yuan($2.55 billion). Investment of fixed assets increased by 6.3 percent to 33.79 billion yuan. The output value of enterprises with annual revenues of more than 20 million yuan soared 15.3 percent to hit 108.3 billion yuan. Its total retail sales amounted to 17.36 billion yuan, up 14.6 percent year on year.

The per capital disposable income of residents in Anning grew by 9.7 percent to reach 44,775 yuan. The area’s general public revenue rose 7.8 percent to 5.4 billion yuan.

The county-level city targets a fixed asset investment growth of 24.6 percent. More than 50 projects will be introduced this year, including one industrial project worth more than 10 billion yuan and 2 projects worth more than 5 billion yuan.
