Yunnan province recently held a commencement ceremony for 129 key projects with accumulative investment topping 60.4 billion yuan($9.56 billion). By the year’s end, half of the total investment will be in place.
Among them, there are 16 energy industry projects with planned investment of 4.8 billion yuan, as well as 68 non-energy industrial projects with planned investment of 19.2 billion yuan.
Nineteen of the projects are worth over 500 million yuan and 15 projects are worth over 1 billion yuan.
Kunming saw construction start on the Yunnan 5G Big Data Industrial Park project, which will attract 2.86 billion yuan in total. It is scheduled to be completed and begin production in December 2023.
It consists of 4 sub-projects, namely the supporting infrastructure of the park, Cloud Venture, the new generation cloud computing and big data industrial base of Aofei Data Technology, and the Landian Technology cloud computing headquarters base.
