Kunming authorities have issued a working plan to introduce high-end experts and technology specialists from around the world to the city.
This is part of the city’s efforts to boost key areas such as new materials, healthcare, digital economy, and environmental protection of Dianchi Lake.
Winners of international prizes such as the Nobel, Pritzker, and Turing prizes will be prioritized.
The city will provide varying amounts of research subsidies, with a single subsidy maximum of 30 million yuan($4.64 million).
