At 10:00 am on Oct 1, the first COP15 naked-eye 3D public welfare promotional film produced by the local government and TV station was broadcast in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, to celebrate National Day and welcome the coming COP15, a key United Nations biodiversity conference to be held in the city.
This 45-second video with realistic visual effects made peacocks, elephants, and Yunnan golden monkeys “appear” on the streets of Kunming.
After the premiere, a promo will be staged on the second-largest naked-eye 3D screen in China at the intersection of Dongfeng East Road and Beijing Road from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
Themed "Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth," COP15 is the first global conference convened by the United Nations on the topic of ecological civilization.
The first part of the meeting is set to kick off on Monday, when participants are expected to review the "post-2020 global biodiversity framework" in order to draw a blueprint for biodiversity conservation in the future. The second part, to be held in person in the first half of 2022, will see broadened and deepened negotiations toward an ambitious and practical framework.
