Kunming will launch rural schools citywide to boost rural revitalization and improve public etiquette and ethical standards.
Over 30 percent of the city's rural laborers will receive training services this year and the number will increase to 100 by 2025.
The education content will be need-oriented, with rural laborers reporting what they want to learn. New textbooks will be compiled in a reader-friendly manner.
The lessons are expected to enhance attendees' understanding and mastery of current affairs and policies, building of village-level organizations, rural law and regulations, industrial development and, most importantly, modern agricultural technologies.
This will help the city develop world-class green food brands and cultivate distinguished industries in different areas.
The lessons are scheduled to begin by the end of November.
