Kunming Children's Hospital, established in 1920, became a non-profit joint-stock public hospital in 2012 with CR Health. It was approved as a 3A-grade children's hospital in 2014.
The hospital has two campuses – Qianxing and Shulin – covering 8.4 hectares with a building area of 120,000 square meters. It has 1,200 patient beds and the annual number of inpatients has reached 60,000. The annual patient numbers of the outpatient and emergency departments has surpassed 1.6 million.
The hospital employs 1,733 staff members with eight holding doctoral degrees, 165 holding master’s degrees and 149 with senior titles.
It has opened 34 clinical departments, eight medical laboratories and 25 functional departments. Five of its departments are listed as provincial key clinical specialties and another five are listed among municipal key clinical specialties.
