Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine (JSMC) and Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) signed a memorandum of understanding on April 17 to establish an educational center at JSMC. The collaboration marks a significant step towards internationalization and educational cooperation in the field of healthcare.

Stephen Vella, vice-principal of MCAST, said that setting up the education center at JSMC represents the start of a new chapter for both parties in promoting the internationalization of medicine and healthcare. He expressed hope for a win-win scenario through collaboration in education, training, and other areas.

Chen Guozhong, Party secretary of JSMC, said the college will deepen its cooperation with the Jiangsu medical aid team in Malta and the Mediterranean Regional Center for TCM.

Jiangsu has been offering medical aid to Malta for 31 years, and JSMC has dispatched personnel to Malta several times. In November 2023, JSMC unveiled a traditional Chinese medicine education center at MCAST. In March, the college sent two TCM doctors to Malta to teach and promote traditional Chinese medicine and techniques.
