Launched in 1949 and held every five years, the National Fine Arts Exhibition shows developments in the style and approach of art to reflect social changes.

As a province experiencing a cultural boom, Jiangsu has produced the most artists who have shown at the quinquennial exhibition.

In recognition of this, Jiangsu Museum of Art began a project last year to collect works by the province's artists that have been featured at the event.

An exhibition now on at the museum until June 14 showcases the collection of 60 prints. The works on show reflect the history, culture, customs and dynamics of urban life in Jiangsu.

Time: 9 am-5 pm, Tuesday-Sunday.

Address: 333 Changjiang Lu, Nanjing, Jiangsu province.

Contact number: 025-8961-0840.
