Zou Yin, Global Executive Vice-president of DHL Express, a German express service provider, visited Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province on April 3.
Du Xiaogang, Party secretary of Wuxi, thanked DHL Express for its long-term support for Wuxi's development and briefed him on the city's economic and social development, especially its air freight and airport construction.
Du said he hopes more leading enterprises will cooperate with Wuxi and bring in more innovative and industrial projects and funds to the city.
Zou is optimistic about the city's development prospects, saying that with growing economic strength and a solid industrial foundation, Wuxi is suitable for cooperation with DHL Express.
He added that the company will bring in more resources to Wuxi and expand its businesses in the city in an effort to help the city develop a low-carbon logistics industry.
DHL Express, a market leader in parcel services in Europe, has cooperated with Wuxi to launch cargo airlines connecting Germany and the United States and supports Wuxi in the establishment of an international mail exchange bureau and international express mail supervision center.
