The 2nd Wuxi Businessman's Conference, with the theme "introduce Wuxi, invite investment", will kick off from October 26 to 28 in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.
The conference will invite more than 250 people, including Wuxi businessmen and representatives of chambers of commerce from around the world.
The event will cover introductory meetings, signing ceremonies between Wuxi and foreign cities, and the inauguration of the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce Building.
Relying on the Global Alliance for Wuxi Entrepreneurs, Wuxi is encouraging local businessmen to invest abroad and make overseas acquisitions.
In addition, the local association of industry and commerce arranged inspections of the investment climate in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Netherlands and Poland.
At the first Wuxi Businessman's Conference in 2013, 11 cooperative investment projects were signed, with a total investment of 21.67 billion yuan ($3.49 billion).
