The ninth session of the 13th Xinghua People's Congress was held on Jan 8, with a new series of development goals unveiled to usher in a strong start to China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).
The city is committed to building a provincial industrial upgrading demonstration area and a national green development model area.
This year it will focus on six major areas in which to explore new prospects. These start with taking the building of a distinctive industrial ecosystem as the core, supporting the development of new quality productive forces.
Xinghua will also optimize its mechanism for high-quality development guided by the goal of building strong towns and continuously enhancing people's sense of self-worth, personal development, happiness, and pride.
The new measures also include deepening the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism, promoting the construction of major infrastructure, and coordinating and strengthening social governance.
