A combined signing ceremony for two major projects that are settling in the Xinghua Economic Development Zone – located in Xinghua city, in East China's Jiangsu province – took place on June 4.
The first project is an aviation food plant costing 1.2 billion yuan ($165.60 million), being co-funded by Shanghai Zhaowei Industrial Co Ltd and Jiangsu Xinlei Food Technology Co Ltd.
With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, the other project is a 3D printing casting plant invested by Jiangsu Shuangfa Machinery Co Ltd.
Wang Yong, deputy secretary of the zone's Party working committee, said that health food and high-end equipment manufacturing were two prime mover sectors in his zone and the signed projects were compatible with the region's industrial positioning and features.
Moving forward, the zone will move to establish teams to provide all-round services for the projects – to pave the way for their early completion, start-up and the ramping up of production.
