Aiming to solve the air pollution problem faced by local companies, the Xinghua Economic Development Zone in Xinghua city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – has moved to conduct dust pollution control measures.
During a visit to the resident company Teweinong Food Co, Taizhou officials found that 1,000 cubic meters of bare land just south of the company was causing air pollution problems.
The Xinghua EDZ then worked out a rectification plan to prevent dust from affecting the surrounding environment, including different measures that depend on the weather.
"Looking ahead, the zone will continue to carry out a special plan to control dust issues at key points such as construction sites. It will improve long-term dust control mechanisms while also continuously improving air quality," said Wang Qin, a zone official.
