As part of a strategy to boost growth, LG Electronics has shifted some orders from its overseas factories to Taizhou, with orders at the company's Taizhou branch expected to increase by 20 percent. To accommodate this increase, Taizhou International Container Terminal has leveraged its South Korea route, increasing the frequency of the Japan-Korea shipping line from once every 10 days to weekly. This has significantly enhanced cargo transshipment speed and led to a steady rise in container volume. In January alone, the adjustment resulted in an additional 4,800 TEUs, a 10.3 percent increase year-on-year.

Moreover, the terminal was approved last year to handle nine types of hazardous goods, including lithium batteries, dry ice, and tablet medicines. This has provided crucial logistics support for pharmaceutical companies in Taizhou and surrounding areas. As a result, the shipping volume of these products grew by 23 percent in January, while other sectors such as automobiles, glass, and chemicals also saw growth.
