Xuzhuang sub-district recently signed a cooperation agreement with Taizhou Nongfa Group on a planting base project, aiming to establish a full-chain innovative cooperation model and drive rural vitalization.
Covering approximately 2200 mu (146.67 hectares), the initial cooperative base is expected to generate an additional 2.4 million yuan ($328,834) annually for the village collective.
Moreover, Xuzhuang sub-district has been proactive in attracting investment, establishing the Xuzhuang Digital Science and Technology Innovation Park. This park has successfully attracted 26 projects, with standard facilities spanning 38,000 square meters and generating a total income of 2 million yuan.
To further bolster the rural economy, the sub-district has also explored the edible fungi industry as a new avenue for increasing the village collective's income. In addition to agricultural development, Xuzhuang sub-district has been promoting the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. By developing the rural tourism and study tour industries, the sub-district has attracted 30,000 visitors and generated nearly 600,000 yuan in collective economic income.

The sub-district has also placed a strong emphasis on talent cultivation. By inviting experts from the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences and establishing a joint practical teaching base with Nanjing Agricultural University, Xuzhuang sub-district is nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
Looking ahead, Xuzhuang sub-district is committed to consolidating its achievements, expanding market reach, and fostering stronger partnerships. Through these efforts, the sub-district aims to enhance its brand reputation and drive sustainable growth in the village collective economy.
