Taizhou International Container Terminal achieved a significant milestone in the first three quarters of this year, handling 266,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). This represented a 4 percent increase compared to the same period last year, with the terminal surpassing its annual profit target ahead of schedule.

From January to September, the terminal accommodated 2,908 vessel calls. Particularly notable were the Japan and South Korea routes, which saw 37 vessel calls and handled 21,000 TEUs, marking a remarkable 28.2 percent year-on-year increase.
Moreover, this year, the terminal has focused on enhancing operational efficiency and quality. It has acquired qualifications to handle the import and export of hazardous goods such as lithium batteries and dry ice. This development allows the terminal to offer more comprehensive services to local manufacturing enterprises, significantly reducing their logistics costs and providing robust support for regional foreign trade.
Looking ahead, the terminal plans to expand its role in the trade of automobiles, electronic products, and new energy goods, aiming to drive the development of new quality productive forces in Taizhou.
