The Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province – is actively seeking new innovation partnerships to enhance its technological capabilities and industrial growth.
Zhang Yun, deputy director of the Taizhou Port EDZ Management Office, recently led a delegation to visit key innovation hubs in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province.
The team's first stop was the Technology Transfer Center of Southeast University, where members learned about successful technology transfer cases.
There, Zhang realized the potential of leveraging the university's strong engineering reputation and technical expertise to enhance the zone's industrial development through effective technology transfer.
Meanwhile, at Jiangsu Jicui Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Research Institute Co Ltd, Zhang explored possible collaborations with technology projects.
He discussed the company's existing work with provincial research institutes, incubation methods and investment strategies.
The delegation then visited the Suixi (Nanjing) Innovation Center and the Yancheng (Nanjing) Innovation Center to study offshore innovation center models and operational strategies, with a focus on attracting and developing technology talent.

Moving forward, the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone plans to expand its offshore innovation partnerships.
The overall goal is to implement what its owners call a new strategy that combines "offshore incubation" with "park entrepreneurship" – to accelerate the transformation of technology projects into new forces to boost productivity.
